Each time I read one of your posts, I'm struck by how precisely you're able to articulate my lived experience of conflict through metaphor or the actual description of how it feels, both somatically and emotionally. And then you follow it with practical actions for how to respond lovingly. Such good stuff. Thank you, Margo.
Beautiful article. Thanks for sharing your fights with your husband, who hasn't gone through this :( it resonates when you say that you're doubting yourself when he's not on your side. I feel exactly the same because of my lack of confidence :( And your ending that: we have to do the work ourselves, we can't change anyone. So true but so hard to get to that! But s beautiful when we get there! Reminds me of the song from Michael Jackson "Man in the mirror". Take care <3
I’m so happy to have found your newsletter, Margo! This piece really resonated. It’s so true that when a disagreement feels like a challenge to our sense of clarity, the instinct is to defend rather than listen (I've been there so many times!). But, as you invite us to reflect, real courage lies in holding onto our truth while still making space for others. Such an important message.

I want to share your comment to notes. Is that okay with you?
Yes, by all means (and thanks for asking)!
Keith! Your words are so encouraging for me. And I'm delighted that my words are helpful for you.
Beautiful! Thank you for writing this!
Thank for your thanks Josh!

I continue to admire your courage, Margo, to be authentic and vulnerable.
I do it because it's so clear to me that my husband and I are not the only ones who go through this. It's a silence that should be broken.
Thanks for your encouragement - since the first day I mentioned this idea!
Thanks so much Michael

Please let me know: would it be ok with you for me to share your comment?
Oh, yes! Absolutely. Thank you Margo :)
Thank you so much Dom! You reiterate the message so well. I appreciate the resonance!
Thanks for your thoughts Laure! And your empathy ❤️ Regarding how we get there- it's a practice. Identify a small step and repeat again and again.
